History and Key Personnel

The Composite Resources story is not unlike many tales of the pursuit of the American Dream. While working full-time as an engineer for BASF, Jon Bennett formed Composite Resources in his garage in 1992. By 1995, Bennett was ready to leave his day job and become fully invested in his own company.

Bennett wanted Composite Resources to be devoted to high-speed problem solving. He created a one-stop shop for design, prototyping, and production. What was once a part-time garage project blossomed into a state-of-the-art composite powerhouse with industry leading clients in a variety of sectors.

The second phase of Composite Resources began in early 2016 when Morgan Brady became Managing Partner. Although the business was doing well, Brady knew there was more to be achieved. With the company’s sights set on becoming a leader in the aerospace composites sector, Composite Resources embarked on an ambitious growth strategy focused on achieving success for its clients.

If initial results are any indication, Composite Resources and their clients will be wildly successful for many years to come.

Jon Bennett

Founder

Jonathan Bennett had a boyhood dream to become a race car driver. Early on, he realized his best chance was by building a business that would afford him the opportunity to go racing. Bennett earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering at the University of Connecticut in 1987. He worked for DuPont for two years before moving onto BASF. In 1992, Bennett founded Composite Resources and worked from his garage in his spare time, but left BASF in 1995 to go full-time with Composite Resources. He founded CORE autosport in 2010 and has won two professional driver championships.

Morgan Brady

Managing Partner

Morgan Brady earned his B.S. in mechanical engineering at the University of Vermont. After several years working in open-wheel racing he continued his education at Cranfield University in England, collecting a masters in motorsports engineering and management. He connected with Bennett in Charlotte, who tasked him with building a race team in a matter of months. Eight years on, CORE has won multiple ALMS and IMSA championships and operates Porsche’s North American factory team. So pleased was Bennett with Brady’s leadership that he appointed him COO of CORE autosport in 2013 and made him a managing partner at Composite Resources in 2016.
